At the heart of my approach is a belief that people are fundamentally whole, resilient, and capable of growth. We all develop coping strategies that once made sense, often in response to stress, trauma, or early experiences, but that no longer serve us. My role is to help you understand these patterns with compassion, access your deeper strengths, and create new ways of being that feel aligned with who you truly are.
I practice from a trauma-informed, inclusive, and affirming lens, striving to create a space where all identities, bodies, cultures, and lived experiences are welcomed and respected.
My counselling services
My approach to therapy
I see therapy as a collaborative relationship. Sometimes I’m a steady guide helping illuminate the inner landscape; sometimes I’m a supportive co-explorer; other times I’m simply holding up the lantern while you reconnect with your own wisdom. Together, we move toward what feels most important, at a pace that honours both your nervous system and your goals.
Many of the people I work with arrive feeling stuck, overwhelmed, self-critical, or disconnected from themselves. Some describe a subtle but persistent “cloud” they can’t quite shake. Through our work together, clients often find clarity, reconnect with their values, and experience more ease in their relationships, work, and inner world. One client described it as “the cloud finally shifting”, not disappearing overnight, but no longer blocking the path ahead.
Who I Work With
My clients' experiences are varied: they've gone through a loss, they're finding everyday situations are presenting serious challenges, or they want to address patterns that have been there for a long time. I especially enjoy working with young adults and people in their 20s and 30s who are ready to understand the roots of what's showing up in their lives and make meaningful changes.
I work best with clients who bring curiosity and openness to the process, people who sense that life could feel more grounded, meaningful, or aligned, and who are ready (even tentatively) to explore what’s getting in the way. You don’t need to have it all figured out; you just need a willingness to show up as you are. Therapy isn’t about pressure or pushing, it’s about moving forward at a pace that feels right for you.
Relational therapy
Rooted in warmth, attunement, and genuine connection. I see the therapeutic relationship as a powerful space for safety, emotional regulation, and new relational experiences. You can expect authenticity, steadiness, and a collaborative tone
Experiential & Emotion-Focused (AEDP-influenced)
While I'm not formally trained in AEDP, my work is influenced by AEDP principles, especially creating safety, undoing aloneness, slowing down, and helping clients access core emotions in a compassionate, grounded way. I support clients in experiencing and making sense of their emotions rather than avoiding or analyzing them from a distance.
Somatic and Mindfulness-Informed Approaches
I pay close attention to the body’s signals, tension, breath, posture, activation, shutting down, and help clients reconnect with their physical experience. This might include grounding, noticing sensations, supporting regulation, and exploring how emotions live in the body.
EMDR Therapy
I am trained in EMDR (Basic Training, formerly Level 1 and Level 2). EMDR can help resolve trauma, shift long-standing patterns, and reduce emotional reactivity by working with the brain’s natural capacity to process and integrate overwhelming experiences. I use EMDR when it feels like a good fit and always at a pace your nervous system can tolerate.
Attachment theory
I work with attachment theory to help you understand how early relationships influence your patterns of closeness, trust, and emotional regulation. Together we explore how these patterns show up in your relationships today and develop more secure and flexible ways of connecting.
It's an honor to be invited into the inner fold of someone's life, to witness their struggles, celebrate their progress, and support them in becoming more of who they truly are. I'm here to collaborate with you in your healing journey, and I'm genuinely excited about the possibility of working together.
If you're looking for more satisfaction, greater alignment with your values, and the confidence to move toward the life that's meant for you — let's talk.
How can things be different? That's the question we'll explore together.
I offer all new clients a free 20 minute consultation call so we can get to know each other better, answer any questions you may have, and start defining an approach to your healing journey together.

about my counselling services
-
I'm a clinical counsellor (qualifying) with a Master's in Counselling Psychology from City University of Seattle, specializing in complex trauma, and EMDR.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade working with corporations, nonprofits, and international organizations across multiple countries, helping people navigate change and solve complex challenges. That experience taught me to understand diverse perspectives and work across cultures—and it informs how I approach therapy: listening deeply, honoring your unique context, and helping you discover practical pathways forward that actually work for your life. -
